This past weekend I saw "The Dictator" starring Sacha Baron Cohen...very fun...I laughed a bunch. And - I far preferred his earlier effort - "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" from 2006. It might have been a much better film, or perhaps I was simply new to his shtick back then and its freshness surprised me (to say the least). I was inspired when The Wall Street Journal asked me to create a hedcut of his animated mug - what a neat way to spend my time at the drawing board for a day or two. Too bad I was constricted to their traditional one-column format...I might've preferred completing his ridiculously expansive haircut.
